In Focus: USA - Uncertainty about US economic policy rises sharply

At his inauguration, US President Donald Trump promised Americans a “golden age”. So far, however, his erratic economic policy has mainly caused negative shockwaves - in the US and around the world.

In addition to a number of unpredictable announcements from the Oval Office, Trump's explosive customs policy and the radical and repressive approach of the “efficiency authority” DOGE led by Elon Musk are particularly responsible for this. The consequences of this constant disruption are now clearly visible:

Economic policy uncertainty in the US has risen massively in a very short space of time - and now marks the highest level since the corona crisis!
“Trump 2.0” is thus becoming a serious negative factor for the further economic development not only of the USA, but of the entire world.

The FERI Institute warned of the disruptive effects of a second Trump presidency at an early stage, in particular in its groundbreaking German analysis „Trump reloaded – Drohender Umbau der USA in eine Präsidialdiktatur“.
